Teachers: CGA recognizes maintenance of enrollment when uninterrupted functions are carried out

Following the intervention of the Ombudsman, Caixa Geral de Aposentações (CGA) has recognized the maintenance of the right of registration of those who, in the exercise of public functions, enter into new employment contracts without interruption.

The Ombudsman has been confronted over the last few years with several complaints about the maintenance of the right to join the CGA, especially presented by contracted teachers, who cease their employment contracts in public functions at a certain date and start new functions on the day immediately as a result of a new link of public employment.
