Citizen with Disabilities Line received 840 requests this year
Today is the International Day of People with Disabilities, a date promoted by the United Nations to raise awareness among civil society and political power on disability issues and to alert disabled citizens to their rights.
The Ombudsman has a toll-free telephone line specifically for the problems of people with disabilities, providing information on their rights and support, particularly in areas such as health, social security, housing, equipment. and services.
The Disability Citizen Line has received 840 requests this year and to date, which represents an increase of 19% over the same period of 2018. As in the previous year, among the most frequently mentioned topics are “Social Benefits” in general and the “Social Benefit for Inclusion” in particular.
