Demos: Ombudsman takes part in cooperative action in Senegal
A team from the Ombudsman is taking part in a training session on human rights, particularly in the context of migratory flows, in Dakar, the capital of Senegal.
On the sidelines of this action promoted under the Demos project, the Ombudsman team, made up of Adviser to the Cabinet Ana Rita Gil and Coordinator João Portugal, was welcomed by the President of the Republic of Senegal, Macky Sall.
Funded by the European Union, Demos Project is part of the Territorial Cooperation Program – MAC 2014-2020, which includes the archipelagos of the Azores, Madeira, the Canaries, as well as the third countries Cape Verde, Senegal and Mauritania. It aims to improve citizens’ awareness of the role and accessibility of the Ombudsman and to promote participation and the creation of a culture of transparency, efficiency and effectiveness in public administration.
