Deputy Ombudsman intervenes in the First Forum on “Night of Healthy Cities of the Center of Portugal”
The Deputy Ombudsman, Teresa Anjinho, participates in the first of two days of the 1st Forum of the project "Healthy Night of the Cities of Central Portugal", which takes place at the Bissaya Barreto Foundation in Coimbra.
Recreational contexts play an important role in the life of cities and young people, but in many situations they have an intrinsic connection with the breakdown of healthy life habits and the association with a multiplicity of risk factors in various areas.
The "Healthy Night" project involves several public and private entities, focusing on the prevention of situations of violence in the night, road accidents and consumption of alcohol and narcotics. One of its initiatives is the establishment of a "quality seal" of nightlife venues and the training of the owners of these places for good practices to observe with their customers, such as the responsible sale of alcohol, the resolution of conflict situations or the provision of first aid.
