Deputy Ombudsman participates in the European Commission Report on the Rule of Law 2023

The Deputy Ombudsman participated via telematics in a meeting hosted by the European Commission on 13 February 2023, presenting the Ombudsman’s contributions to the Rule of Law Report 2023.

In the context of preparing the edition of the (annual) Rule of Law Report, the European Commission consults various sources, including written contributions submitted by national authorities and entities, and conducts visits (by videoconference) to all Member States of the European Union. The aim is to obtain factual information on relevant developments, which will serve as a basis for the assessment conducted by the Commission.
