Ombudsman participates in the XI Lisbon Judicial Forum dedicated to the topic “Digital Governance and Constitutionalism”
The Ombudsperson, Maria Lúcia Amaral, participated as a speaker in the XI Lisbon Legal Forum, which took place at the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon on 26-28 June 2023.
The Ombudsperson presented a lecture in the panel on “Risks for the Rule of Law and Defence of Democracy”, in the scope of Thematic Axis 1 (“Democratic Rule of Law and Defence of Institutions”), on 26 June.
The 11th edition of the Forum (dedicated to the general theme “Digital Governance and Constitutionalism”), promotes debate based on the dialogue between the Portuguese and Brazilian legal systems, bringing together academics, jurists, political authorities, businessmen and representatives of civil society from both countries, and was organised by the Institute for Legal and Political Sciences and the Lisbon Centre for Research in Public Law (Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon), the Brazilian Institute for Teaching, Development and Research and the Getulio Vargas Foundation.
