Ombudsman requests inspection of the constitutionality of norms of the Electoral Law for Local Authority Bodies

The Ombudsman sent a request to the Constitutional Court for a declaration of unconstitutionality, with mandatory general force, of the norms stated in nos. 4, 5 and 6 of article 19 of Organic Law no. 1/2001, of 14 August, that regulates the election of local authority office-holders, in the wording that was given by Organic Law no. 1-A/2020, of 21 August.
