Ombudsman’s Office participates in continuous training for magistrates
The Ombudsman’s Office participated in a continuous training session for magistrates on “The status of the prisoner as the subject of sentence execution”, which was held at the Judicial Studies Centre, in Lisbon, on 2 June.
The Coordinator of the National Preventive Mechanism, Miguel Feldmann, presented the module “Monitoring the prison system – challenges of the daily life of inmates”.
The event was also attended by Inês Horta Pinto, PhD in Legal-Criminal Sciences, University of Coimbra Law School, Carla Peralta, Judge, Lisbon Execution of Sentences Court, and Rómulo Augusto Mateus, Deputy Prosecutor, Lisbon Court of Appeal and former General Director of Reintegration and Prison Services.
