The Ombudsman of Portugal promotes the transnational seminar “The Ombudsman network – to build together a more effective, accountable, transparent and ethical administration”
The Portuguese Ombudsman, in association with the Diputado del Común of the Canary Islands, and in collaboration with the Cape Verde Ombudsman and the Médiateur de la République of Senegal, promotes the transnational seminar “Ombudsman Network – building together a more effective, accountable, transparent and ethical administration”. The event will take place on 14 November at the Casa dos Açores, in Lisbon, and on 16 November at the Palácio dos Capitães Generais, in Angra do Heroísmo.
This initiative aims to develop a set of activities to strengthen the work of these institutions in favour of their citizens in the Madeira-Azores-Canary Islands Cooperation Area.
The MAC-DEMOS project is supported by the European Union and has as priorities (i) the improvement of knowledge and accessibility to the Ombudsmen in the MAC Cooperation Area, (ii) the improvement of efficiency and effectiveness in the service to the citizen and (iii) the creation of a culture of transparency, efficiency and effectiveness in the Public Administration.
